Humanscale introduces Squiggle, a new patterned textile for Freedom and Liberty seating created by award-winning textile designer, Lori Weitzner. Squiggle is part of Humanscale’s new Movement collection and was inspired by the movement of ripples across an otherwise still body of water. It features an innovative weave structure that creates a modern, organic wave pattern. The design comes in nine rich colorways and can be applied both horizontally and vertically to Humanscale seating.

Developed initially for sportswear, Wave responds to the unique form and production requirements of Freedom. This four-way stretch fabric exceeds all contract interior testing requirements for heavy-duty upholstery. The colors of Wave are taken from the phenomenal hues found in nature.

Constructed of a plain weave using a blend of nylon, Cordura and elastic yarn, this textile offers a pleasing texture and extreme durability. Because of the Cordura content, this four-way stretch woven textile performs to the rigors of the most demanding contract environments. It easily passes the testing requirements for heavy-duty contract upholstery and is impregnated with a soil and water-resistant finish, which is highly durable and helps prevent the absorption of moisture and stains. The color palette varies from bright to classics, followed by a good selection of neutrals.

Spirit Millennium is an anti-microbial and wipe able textile manufactured by Naugahyde. This textile is designed for use in healthcare, education, hospitality and other environments that require surfaces to be durable and easy to maintain. It passes healthcare testing, such as anti-microbial and cleanability tests, and meets fire code requirements.

Ultraleather Promessa, a simulated leather textile from Ultra fabrics, is both wipe able and antimicrobial, and ideally suited for healthcare, hospitality and industrial applications. Offering a pebbled, highly textured finish, Promessa is available in 25 colors that will work beautifully in a wide variety of environments.

Offering style and performance, Sensuede was developed to be the best and most luxurious engineered suede available. The fauxsuede’s soft touch comes from the use of breathable and wrinkle resistant recycled microfibers that are finer than a human hair but are extra-strong, resulting in a very resilient fabric. In keeping with Humanscale’s philosophy of sustainable design, this material was selected because of its environmentally sensitive content and manufacturing process.
